Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce that Brian M. Cohen and Cristina Addy have joined the firm’s Real Estate practice in its New York office. Brian joins the firm as a Director and Cristina joins as an Associate. Brian and Cristina join Goulston & Storrs together from Foley & Lardner LLP. Prior to Foley & Lardner where he was a partner, Brian was the general counsel of Kushner Companies, a diversified real estate owner, manager and developer where he also served as general counsel of The New York Observer.

Brian focuses his practice on representing owners, purchasers, investors and lenders in commercial real estate and other asset-based transactions, including the acquisition, disposition and development of office, retail, hotel and multifamily properties; commercial mortgage, mezzanine and construction financing; joint ventures; loan purchases, sales and restructurings; and secured and unsecured credit facilities and related capital markets transactions. He also represents landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions. He was cited for his prominence in the real estate marketplace in the 2015 edition of The Legal 500. Brian currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York, and is a volunteer for the UJA-Federation of New York.

Cristina's practice focuses on representing investors, developers, and lenders in connection with the acquisition, disposition, and financing of office, multifamily and retail properties. Cristina also has extensive experience representing tenants and landlords in office, retail and industrial leasing transactions.

“As we continue to grow our presence and areas of service in New York, we are actively seeking out the level of talent and leadership that Brian possesses,” said Barry Green, co-managing director at Goulston & Storrs. “Brian brings with him a tremendous amount of knowledge and relationships that he has built and fostered over the course of his diverse legal career. The synergies among our combined client base and his business-oriented approach will have a notable influence on Goulston & Storrs’ growth in the New York market and beyond.

“Afforded a significant amount of experience and responsibility under Brian’s guidance, Cristina is a vital asset in the success of their representation of real estate clients across the city, and the addition of talent like Cristina is essential to the future success of our firm,” said Green.

Brian received his B.A. from George Washington University and his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law, Yeshiva University.
