OverviewGeorge Weidenfeller is a member of the firm’s Real Estate group, with a particular focus on Affordable Housing and Economic Development. Prior to joining Goulston & Storrs, he had a long and distinguished career in public service, serving over 15 years under six HUD Secretaries and General Counsel as Deputy General Counsel in the Office of General Counsel, Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington DC. In that role he provided substantive legal advice on all HUD programs.
George has deep experience in residential development; Federal Housing Administration transactions; asset management; program, regulatory and fair housing enforcement; The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 and The American Reinvestment and Recovery Act 2009; all aspects of Federal procurement, ethics and personnel law, and oversight of the GSEs – FannieMae/FreddieMac.
