Overview

Graham Catlin represents a broad range of real estate investment firms and real estate investment trusts (REITs) in complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings.  As an Associate in our Real Estate group, Graham also has experience assisting developers in connection with general permitting and land use matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Graham worked as an Articles Editor and Member of the Wisconsin Law Review.

Representative Experience

  • Representation of Federal Realty Investment Trust in connection with the formation of a joint venture and acquisition of a controlling interest in Montrose Crossing, a 357,000 square foot existing shopping center with an adjacent developable parcel in Maryland. The $127M purchase also involved an $80M loan from Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America.
  • Representation of a real estate investment firm in connection with the acquisition and related loan assumptions and financings of a fourteen (14) property portfolio consisting of 8.2 million square feet of office buildings located through the United States.
  • Representation of a real estate investment firm in connection with acquisitions, dispositions and permanent financings of several prominent office buildings located in Boston, Washington, D.C. and California.
  • Representation of a publicly-held real estate investment trust in connection with the permanent financing of several prominent office buildings in New York City and Washington, D.C.
  • Representation of a publicly-held real estate investment trust as a joint-venture partner in construction and permanent financings of suburban office buildings in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
  • Representation of a national developer in connection with general permitting and land use matters in connection with mixed-use developments throughout Massachusetts.
  • Representation of a publicly-held pharmaceutical company in the acquisition of a multi-building technology park in the greater Boston area.
