Overview

Harold Stahler, a Director and Co-Chair of the firm’s Hospitality & Recreation industry group, has developed a comprehensive real estate and hospitality practice.  He concentrates his practice on hotel and other real estate development; financing, acquisition and management; mortgage loan and joint venture transactions.

Representative Experience

• Represent Pyramid Hotel Group in connection with proposed public offering of Pyramid Hotels & Resorts, Inc.
• Represented Pyramid Hotel Group in connection with the acquisition and asset management of the MS Resorts eight-hotel resort portfolio.
• Represented ownership in the negotiation of a hotel management agreement for the Millennium Hotel in Phuket, Thailand.
• Represented ownership (CWB Boylston LLC and Boston Convention Center Hotel, LLC, respectively) in connection with hotel management and related financing arrangements for the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Boston located at The Prudential Center and The Westin Boston, Waterfront, the headquarters hotel for the new Boston Convention Center. 
• Represented ownership in connection with restructuring the management agreement for the Four Seasons Hotel, Boston.
• Represented Aldrich, Eastman and Waltch, a pension fund investor, and DINE, a Mexican development company, in connection with the development of the Four Seasons Resort (hotel, timeshare, villas and golf course) at Punta Mita, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. 
• Represented Intercontinental Real Estate Fund in connection with the management agreement and construction financing for the Nine Zero Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts. 
• Represented Pyramid Hotel Opportunity Venture in the acquisition of an 8-hotel portfolio from Thayer Lodging Group and the acquisition of a 5-hotel portfolio from CNL, Pyramid Hotel Opportunity Venture II in the acquisition of a 7- hotel portfolio from HRO, and related hotel management agreements, franchise agreements and liquor license transfers. 
• Represented Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in connection with the acquisition and financing of the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Boston and the hotel management agreement for the Fairmont Battery Wharf Hotel, Boston.
• Represented Pyramid Advisors and National Development Associates of New England in connection with the development of the Marriott Residence Inn at Tudor Wharf, Boston (Charlestown), Massachusetts, including negotiation of franchise arrangements with Marriott International, Inc. and debt and equity financing involving Marriott International Capital Corporation, General Electric Pension Trust and Angelo Irish Bank. 
• Represented Pyramid Advisors in connection with joint venture, hotel management and project management arrangements with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds incident to the acquisition of nine Adam’s Mark Hotels; and represented the Pyramid/Morgan Stanley joint venture in connection with franchise agreements and hotel renovation projects incident to the conversion of those hotels to Marriott, Crowne Plaza, Hilton and Radisson hotels.
