Joanna Giorgio Hilvert, a Contract Attorney in our Environmental group, advises clients on matters of environmental risk and compliance. She has experience with Chapter 21E, the MCP, MEPA, NEPA, the Wetlands Protection Act, the Boston Zoning Code, Chapter 40A, municipal zoning codes and Chapter 40B. Joanna has represented developers and lenders in connection with permitting and environmental due diligence, as well as property owners in achieving regulatory closure of environmental contamination issues.
- Representation of a large telecommunications firm in connection with all environmental-related real estate needs including reviewing and analyzing environmental reports, drafting opinion letters, providing advice on compliance with Chapter 21E, MEPA and NEPA and negotiating with MADEP.
- Representation of a property owner in connection with identifying, remediating, and achieving regulatory closure of a significant groundwater contamination issue.
- Representation of commercial real estate and affordable housing clients in all aspects of acquisitions, zoning and land use matters, development and permitting processes, financing and dispositions.
