OverviewLara is an associate in our Real Estate group and her practice includes general real estate matters. Specifically, she has experience assisting with municipal land use code updates and water law issues. In addition, she has experience reviewing development plans for local, state and federal environmental and land use permit approvals. She has worked on zoning and urban redevelopment matters, as well as assisted commercial real estate transactions and the review of environmental site assessment data reports.
Prior to joining the firm, Lara served as a Law Clerk for the University of Utah’s Office of General Counsel where she authored legal memorandum on employment, education, and healthcare issues while assisting with general real estate transactions. As a Law Clerk, she has also researched and drafted motions on immigration matters for federal and administrative proceedings.
Prior to law school, Lara worked as an environmental scientist for Epsilon Associates, a Massachusetts-based consulting firm, where she drafted environmental permit applications for development projects and assisted wetlands delineations. She also worked as an environmental scientist on Superfund sites in Montana, and for local and state regulatory agencies in New York and Vermont.
