Overview

Linda Goldstein has experience in all aspects of real estate law, including acquisition, development, leasing, management, financing and debt restructuring.  She has specialized knowledge concerning U.S. government housing programs, commercial development in underserved communities and the mandates of the Community Reinvestment Act.

Representative Experience

  • Counseling clients concerning The Housing & Economic Recovery Act of 2008 and The American Reinvestment & Recovery Act of 2008.
  • Offering regulatory expertise to clients regarding HUD programs, including guidance to owners, developers, lenders and entities of local government.
  • Counseling numerous clients with respect to sale or acquisition of HUD-insured and assisted properties.
  • Counseling clients regarding joint-ventures for economic development transactions -- office, retail (including shopping centers) and mixed-use developments in low and moderate income communities.
  • Counseling clients concerning housing for veterans.
  • Representation of clients using New Markets program.
  • Counseling clients with regard to real estate transactions in Washington, D.C., (office, retail, "for-sale" and multifamily housing), including transactions benefiting from programs of District of Columbia's Department of Housing and Community Development, Housing Authority and Housing Finance Agency.
  • Representation of clients regarding transfer of properties financed under USDA's Section 515 program.
  • Counseling client with respect to mandates of the Community Reinvestment Act and with respect to formation of Community Development Financial Institutions.
