Overview

Nancy Sutherland is a paralegal in our Corporate and ERISA groups. She joined the ERISA practice as a paralegal in 2007. Previously, she had been a paralegal for corporate practice areas as well as ERISA for 7 years.

Nancy works with all types of retirement plans, including pension, profit sharing, 401(k), 403(b) and Employee Stock Ownership Plans as well as health and welfare plans.

Representative Experience

• Drafting amendments to various plans.
• Updating plan documents as well as summary plan descriptions.
• Review of plan documents for compliance with current IRS rules and regulations.
• Filing for determination letters with the Internal Revenue Service. 
• Assist with the termination of various retirement plans.
• Assist with Voluntary Compliance submissions with the IRS.
