Goulston & Storrs Continues to Build Corporate Practice: International Trade Authority Joins Firm

March 2010
Practice: Corporate
People: Kerry T. Scarlott

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce the further expansion of its corporate group with the arrival of Kerry Scarlott.  Kerry is one of the only Boston attorneys who focus on international trade, with particular expertise in advising technology companies in navigating the Export Administration Regulations, the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  Kerry has also guided numerous companies in foreign investment in the United States, including navigating regulatory programs administered by the Committee on Foreign Investments in the United States and the Defense Security Service.

Marty Fantozzi, the firm’s co-managing director, commented:  “Kerry will complement the services we currently provide to our corporate clients, which include many companies conducting cross-border business activities in China, Israel, Canada, Europe and beyond. Export Controls is an emerging area of need for our clients, and with the addition of Kerry, we are well positioned to provide this advice.  This is not only a great opportunity for Kerry to grow his practice, but for us to better serve our clients.”

Kerry stated, “The service model of Goulston & Storrs is ideal for my clients, and I am pleased to contribute to the growth of the firm’s Corporate Group. I have great respect for the attorneys at Goulston, and am thrilled to add to the breadth and depth of their accomplished team.”

Kerry received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Law Review, earned a Masters of Public Policy, with honors, from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, and was awarded a BS, with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science, from St. Lawrence University.

Kerry is the former Chair of the Export Controls Group of Posternak, Blankstein & Lund, and a member and director of numerous international trade organizations.
