This workshop will serve as an introduction for those who are new to academic technology transfer and a refresher course for more seasoned professionals. You will learn the "why are we here" of tech transfer, including an overview of the Bayh-Dole Act. Presenters will discuss the purpose and function of academia to industry license agreement terms and conditions. Presenters will identify and explain the common points of contention in academia to industry transactions and suggest some solutions.

Question and answer will be an important part of this program.
