Biography

Overview

Alexa O’Keefe has a lead role in designing and implementing the talent development strategy for Goulston & Storrs. In that capacity, she is charged with helping to shape the firm’s reputation and key attributes as a top legal talent destination.

One of her most critical responsibilities involves collaboration with the Director of Diversity & Inclusion and other professional staff on development of strategies, programs, and processes for improvement of diversity within the firm and for promotion of equitable opportunities for women, racial and ethnic minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals.

Alexa also contributes to the firm’s success by optimizing the integration, development, training, coaching, engagement, and retention of our lawyers. In doing that, she leads the assessment, development, and implementation of educational, coaching, mentoring, career development, and feedback programs for lawyers. She also develops and tracks key talent development success metrics, reporting on talent development trends within the firm and the entire legal industry.

Prior to joining Goulston & Storrs, Alexa contributed to the success of one of Boston’s large well-established firms, serving first as a litigation associate and then as a partner focused on product liability litigation, representing pharmaceutical and medical device companies. While there, she discovered her true passion for professional development of others, transitioning into a role as the firm’s Director of Professional Development and Pro Bono Programs for four years.  In this role, Alexa led the firm’s legal talent management, diversity & inclusion, and pro bono initiatives.
