Goulston & Storrs Adds to Associate Ranks in All Three Offices with Laterals from Top Am Law 200 Firms

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce the addition of three new Associates, one each in its offices in Boston, New York and Washington, DC. 

  • Andrew Boulay joined the firm’s Boston office as an Associate in the Real Estate group, most recently at Am Law 20 firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in its New York office; 
  • Jesse Rubinstein joined the firm’s New York office as an Associate in the Banking and Finance practice, most recently at Am Law 100 firm Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP in New York; and 
  • James Shipe joined the firm in Washington, DC in the Real Estate group, most recently at Am Law 200 firm Arent Fox LLP. 

Andrew Boulay focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assets, financing and refinancing, development, leasing and restructuring. As a real estate associate in the firm’s Boston office, Andrew negotiates and drafts finance, acquisition, development and lease transaction documents; reviews and analyzes necessary due diligence, including title and survey review; forms entities and drafts operating agreements; and advises clients generally in the coordination of deal transaction teams. Andrew obtained his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and his B.A. from Brandeis University. 

Jesse Rubinstein focuses his practice on corporate finance transactions including capital markets and leveraged finance transactions involving secured/unsecured high-yield debt offerings, equity offerings, mezzanine debt issuances, syndicated institutional loans, and general corporate governance matters. Jesse represents investment banks, initial purchasers, underwriters, mezzanine funds, private equity funds, commercial banks, lenders, agents, and corporations with a focus on general corporate and finance matters. Jesse received his J.D. degree from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. from Binghamton University State University of New York. 

James Shipe focuses his practice on the acquisition, financing, restructuring, leasing and sale of real estate assets on behalf of commercial and nonprofit clients, with experience in single asset and large portfolio transactions. Jim worked as a structural engineer at URS Corporation prior to beginning his legal career. During his time there, he worked on government projects, including the Standard Embassy Design for the US Department of State, the renovation of the National Archives, and the design of a large aircraft hangar and maintenance facility for the Tennessee Air National Guard. Jim earned his J.D. from Stanford Law School, and both an M.A.E. and B.A.E. degree from Pennsylvania State University.
