The Women's Bar Association will be hosting a virtual party with James Beard Award winner chef Karen Akunowicz of Bravo's "Top Chef" with a cooking demo, fireside chat, and Q&A from the audience!

WBA President, Nicole Forbes, will lead the conversation with Karen by talking about everything from being a female chef in a male-dominated industry to the challenges of running a small business in the time of COVID to her work for LGBTQ advocacy to what the power of the vote means for women everywhere.

The Gala will also feature fireside chats that will cover various topics including a celebration of the 100^th anniversary of women’s suffrage. The Gala will also recognize the Women’s Leadership Initiative class, which is a selective mentoring program, through which Goulston & Storrs director and litigation co-chair, Jennifer Furey, serves as a mentor.

An active member of the Women's Bar Association and immediate past co-chair of the Gala Committee, Jessica Caamano, now sits on the Board of the Directors for the WBA.
