Jonathan Martin is a real estate attorney advising landlords and tenants in commercial office, industrial, warehouse and retail leasing. His commercial leasing experience spans many industries, including retail, education, lab and life sciences, and data center and IT infrastructure.
Jonathan also represents purchasers, sellers, lenders and borrowers with complex real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financing transactions. He works with clients throughout each transaction, drafting purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, and other related documents, as well as conducting due diligence and title and survey review.
Jonathan researches, analyzes and prepares client memoranda regarding the applicability of changes in laws, statutes and restrictions for real estate and leasing clients, and aiding productive decision-making related to their transactions. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he counseled clients as to the application and enforceability of force majeure, takings, and casualty clauses for pressing issues brought about by the stay-at-home orders and other related government restrictions.
Prior to joining Goulston & Storrs as an associate, Jonathan worked in the real estate group of a national law firm handling a range of commercial, industrial and leasing agreements.
