Jonathan Grippo is a construction and real estate attorney who also represents clients as a trial lawyer.
He represents a variety of clients, including business owners, developers, and institutions involved in the retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, and construction industries. He has particular experience dealing with legal issues related to senior living, multifamily, commercial office and condominium developments.
Jonathan is known for being collaborative and creative, working with his fellow attorneys to negotiate and structure major real estate projects that are successful.
In his transactional construction practice, Jonathan drafts and negotiates a full range of construction agreements, design agreements, and closing documentation. He is experienced in crafting customized agreements and documentation, and is well-versed in and extensively familiar with the full range of AIA agreements, including lump sum, GMP, cost-plus and design-build construction agreements, as well as architect and consultant agreements.
As a trial lawyer, Jonathan handles complex commercial litigation arising from construction disputes involving mechanics’ liens, contractual disputes, intellectual property issues, disputes over condominiums and offering plans and other real estate matters. He also deals with issues related to limited liability companies and closely held companies in litigation. As an advocate, Jonathan has also participated in administrative hearings and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
