Our Service Difference
At Goulston & Storrs, we place a cultural emphasis on individualized attention to each case. We are focused on responsiveness, efficiency and results, choosing the right staff and employing the right tools and technology to handle each matter and service each client optimally. Often we litigate successfully with fewer lawyers than our opponents while remaining more accessible to our clients when needed.
Our commercial litigation lawyers are also keenly aware of the business context in which litigation decisions must be made, and they make special efforts to understand the unique business and industry background of each client as it pertains to any litigation assignment.
Utilizing our deep experience, we also provide value to clients through early and ongoing case assessments, which help to identify potential opportunities for less costly, creative resolutions. We know that clients are not always looking to vanquish an opponent, especially if the opponent is a person or entity the client is likely to encounter again out of business necessity. So we look for creative win-win solutions whenever possible, conducting ourselves as formidable but reasonable adversaries with a reputation for professionalism.
When a client does need a definitive victory and settlement is not possible, we have the experience and willingness to fight for a dispositive victory through summary judgment or verdict, knowing how to develop and execute a well-planned strategy for trial and, if necessary, appeal. Many of our lawyers have successfully taken numerous cases to trial and have achieved significant appellate victories as well.
We understand and greatly appreciate that a client is entrusting their life’s work to us when they turn to us as advocates, and we take that very seriously. In fact, the very structure of our firm is client-centric, providing incentives for us to work collaboratively, sharing information and ideas in order to support our clients to the fullest while discouraging any attitudes or behaviors that interfere with the rendering of superior client service.
