Michelle Shortsleeve advises a wide range of clients including developers, business owners, investors, institutions, and landlords in a wide range of real estate matters including development and zoning matters, property acquisitions and sales, office and retail leasing, and financing.
While at Boston University School of Law, Michelle served as a student attorney in the school’s Civil Litigation Clinic, where she represented clients in Housing Court. She interned at The Community Builders, Inc., a Boston-based non-profit organization, where she researched and wrote memoranda outlining HUD and IRS standards, copyright, tax, nuisance, easement law, and drafted letters to HUD and city agencies requesting action on compliance issues. Michelle also worked at Boston’s Office of Fair Housing and Equity, where she investigated claims and mediated agreements between tenants and landlords.
