Counsel to National Developer in Development of Mixed-Use Commercial Power Center

Advised national developer in the development of 900,000 square foot mixed-use commercial power center. Coordinated all aspects of site assembly, property acquisitions, rezoning strategy, negotiations with stakeholders and all other federal, state and local entitlements.  Also negotiated inter-municipal agreements involving complex utility, water rights and public safety services.

Representation of national developer with general permitting and environmental matters for a 3,037-acre planned community development in Plymouth, Massachusetts. 

Gillette Stadium Ownership Real Estate and Development Interests

Counsel for Gillette Stadium (home of the New England Patriots and New England Revolution) ownership, assisting with diverse real estate and development interests, including planning, property acquisitions, due diligence, permitting, financing and construction of stadium improvements and a 1.35 million square foot mixed-use development. Work involves a variety of land-use, transportation and regulatory matters in support of client’s diverse economic development initiatives on 500-plus acre site.

Permitting and Development of Complex Urban Revitalization Project

Advised a development firm on permitting and development of complex urban revitalization project. Developed and executed land use strategy to secure local, state and federal approvals, legislative and regulatory designations as well grants and infrastructure financing. The work also involved mediation, litigation and settlement negotiations with key stakeholders in coordination with municipal officials and state regulators. Negotiated comprehensive multi-party agreements between a municipality and multiple state and federal agencies to facilitate complex engineering and environmental restoration on the project.

Through the development and implementation of successful zoning and regulatory strategies, the client has developed several premier life-science facilities in core science submarkets.
