Goulston & Storrs Adds Two from Am Law 100 Firms in New York: David Wiles and Jill Fox Join Growing Banking & Finance Team
Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce that the firm continues its growth in New York with the addition of two lawyers joining from Am Law 100 firms. David R. Wiles has joined the firm’s Banking & Finance practice as a Director from Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, and Jill S. Fox has joined as a finance Associate from Cahill Gordon & Reindel LLP. These additions complement a team of lawyers that renowned legal directory Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business noted in 2013 “typically represents premier national and international financial institutions on the lender side...The team frequently undertakes work for Bank of America and JPMorgan Chase on everything from syndicated loans to multijurisdictional financing.”
David Wiles represents banks, other lenders and borrowers in syndicated lending and leveraged finance transactions (both domestic and cross-border), as well as in loan restructurings and workouts. He also advises clients on bank regulatory matters related to credit transactions, and corporate and investment banking.
Prior to serving clients from within the law firm setting, David was a managing director and associate general counsel at Bank of America and has extensive contacts within the banking industry.
David is a member of the New York and North Carolina bars. He is a former member of the Board of Advisors for the North Carolina Banking Institute and the Center for Banking and Finance, and speaks frequently on CLE panels and in seminars on syndicated lending, leveraged finance and other topics in corporate lending and loan market developments.
He received his B.A.Sc. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Honors College, and his J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude.
Jill Fox’s practice also focuses on syndicated lending and leveraged finance transactions, and her work across such diverse industries such as advertising, media, fashion, gaming, manufacturing, technology, pharmaceutical and energy enhances the value she brings to her clients. Jill represents lenders, agent banks and companies in connection with acquisition finance transactions, secured credit facilities, asset based lending facilities, debt offerings, and debt restructuring transactions.
Jill received her B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin, and her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, cum laude.
“It continues to be an exciting time for Goulston & Storrs in New York, and we are thrilled to welcome David and Jill to our growing Banking & Finance team,” said Marty Fantozzi, co-managing director at Goulston & Storrs. “We are proud of our work for marquis financial institutions on a variety of high-profile transactions, and the addition of these lawyers with deep industry experience furthers our objective of better and more broadly serving local, national and international clients from the critical New York market.”
