Goulston & Storrs Again Earns Mansfield Certification from Diversity Lab

October 2, 2024Press Releases

Goulston & Storrs, an Am Law 200 firm, is pleased to announce that it has earned Diversity Lab's 2023-2024 Mansfield Certification, marking the sixth year in a row the firm has achieved this notable recognition. The Mansfield Rule is a certification process designed to ensure equal access to leadership by expanding the pool of candidates for those historically underrepresented, creating clear pathways for advancement. The firm is one of 360 firms to become Mansfield certified this past year – a 13% increase from the previous year.

To achieve Mansfield Certification, firms must ensure that at least 30% of candidates considered for leadership positions are historically underrepresented lawyers, including women, lawyers from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities. The process also evaluates the firm’s transparency in areas such as leadership roles, promotion procedures, and compensation policies.

“Achieving this longstanding Mansfield Certification is one example of the consistent efforts made at Goulston & Storrs to ensure all lawyers and staff feel valued, included, and truly a part of our firm. We are committed to continued actions when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and Mansfield provides us with a framework to stay focused,” said Christian Regnier, a Director at Goulston & Storrs and Co-Chair of the firm’s Inclusion Advisory Committee.

Mansfield's approach focuses on systemic changes that promote inclusivity, ensuring that leadership opportunities are open to a broader range of talent without imposing quotas or requirements that do not reflect an individual's qualifications.

Goulston & Storrs is now participating in the 2024-2025 Mansfield Certification process.
