BOSTON (April 1, 2019) – Goulston & Storrs, an Am Law 200 firm, has promoted four attorneys to shareholder:

Yuanshu Deng will continue to focus her practice on counseling real estate developers, owners, and financial institutions in connection with commercial real estate financing, acquisitions, and dispositions involving a range of asset classes, including retail, multifamily, hotel, office, and mixed-use properties. Her broad transactional practice includes portfolio real estate acquisitions and dispositions, single and multi-lender financial transactions involving construction and term loans, and mezzanine lending. Yuanshu received her J.D. from Harvard Law School and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Duke University.

Vanessa P. Moody will maintain her real estate practice which focuses primarily on complex commercial leasing transactions involving retail, office, and mixed-use properties and involves the representation of landlords in the chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of commercial tenants. Vanessa also counsels real estate developers and national retailers in connection with acquisition transactions (distressed and non-distressed) and national store rollouts. She received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Elizabeth K. Levine is an employment lawyer and litigator who will continue to work with companies on management-side employment and operational matters. Elizabeth serves as a counselor and trainer to employers of all sizes, routinely advocating for, and advising, employers in nearly every area of employment law and day-to-day personnel administration.  In addition to employee and manager trainings on a variety of topics, Elizabeth helps employers eliminate risk and promote meaningful cultural change that aligns with the organization’s values and goals through the firm’s Cultural Assessment Program. She also maintains a litigation practice focused on management-side employment law. Elizabeth received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School and her B.A., magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of the Holy Cross.

Kerry L. Spindler will continue to focus her practice on sophisticated estate planning for high net worth individuals and families, including non-traditional families and same-sex partners and spouses. Kerry supports her clients in succession planning including minimizing transfer taxes, charitable legacy planning through the creation of private foundations and use of other charitable vehicles, educating beneficiaries, advising trustees, and administering trusts and probate estates. Prior to becoming an attorney, Kerry spent more than a decade working in the non-profit and philanthropic sectors where she counseled major arts institutions, small art organizations, and individual artists. Kerry received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, her M.A.M., summa cum laude, from Carnegie Mellon University, and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Rochester Institute of Technology.
