Goulston & Storrs was a proud Platinum Sponsor and host of the King Solomon Society Reception as Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) honored the firm’s longtime client, Stephen R. Karp, Chairman and CEO of New England Development, at the organization’s Real Estate, Construction & Design Annual Dinner. Karp received CJP’s Edwin N. Sidman Leadership Award at the event, held Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the InterContinental Hotel in Boston. The event also featured guest speaker Wyc Grousbeck, Managing Partner, Governor and CEO of the Boston Celtics.
Karp is a leading developer of shopping centers and mixed-use developments. He first entered the shopping center business in the late 1960's with the development of one of the first enclosed malls in the Northeast, which opened in 1972. He went on to found New England Development in 1978.
Goulston & Storrs’ Daniel E. Rottenberg partnered as dinner chair with Steven S. Fischman, President and Chief Operating Officer at New England Development. Fischman is also an alumnus of Goulston & Storrs, where he was a partner specializing in real estate and finance law before beginning his tenure at New England Development.
