Goulston & Storrs Lawyer, Richard Rosensweig, Elected to Meritas Board of Directors
Boston, MA – May 3, 2012 – Goulston & Storrs, a Boston-based law firm, today announced that Richard Rosensweig has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Meritas, a global alliance of business law firms. Richard was elected to the position during the Alliance’s recent Annual meeting.
In his role as a board member, Rosensweig will be responsible for reviewing and establishing policy and setting strategy for the alliance. He will also act as an organizational leader, serving as a liaison to member firms on administrative issues. Richard will maintain contact with members, encourage and promote cross communications, and gather feedback on Meritas initiatives. He will serve a three-year term, during which time he will also serve on the Membership Committee. The Meritas Board of Directors is comprised of 21 lawyers from its member firms around the world.

Rosensweig has been involved with Meritas for four years, during which time he has served on Goulston & Storrs’ Meritas Committee, acted as the primary contact for other Meritas firms, and helped to integrate his firm into the Meritas network.
Richard Rosensweig is a Director in the Litigation Group. His practice focuses on business litigation, securities law, and attorney malpractice defense. He represents a variety of corporate clients and individuals before federal and state courts, arbitration panels, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other securities related organizations. He also advises directors, companies, financial services firms, investment advisers, and insurers in connection with compliance matters, including regulatory inquiries, reporting and accounting requirements and insider trading.
Richard is a member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers Hearing Committee, Finra Dispute Resolution, Business Partners Committee, Boston Symphony Orchestra Board of Trustees; and Raising a Reader of Massachusetts. He earned his law degree from McGill University, with honors, in 1991, and is a member of the Boston, Massachusetts and American Bar Associations.
