Jennifer B. Furey, Barbara L. Moore, Paul F. Beckwith and Matthew P. Horvitz Bring Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Expertise to Growing Goulston Team

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce that a four-member Litigation team joined the firm in Boston on Monday, September 9. All four lawyers join together from Cooley Manion Jones LLP, which that day announced that it will restructure into two separate firms effective January 1, 2014.

Jennifer B. Furey, a seasoned trial lawyer, focuses her practice on intellectual property and commercial litigation, with a marquis client list ranging from major international retailers to technology and real estate investment companies. A fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, Barbara L. Moore is a renowned intellectual property litigator who also has extensive trial experience in real estate and securities matters. Paul F. Beckwith is an accomplished trial lawyer in the areas of commercial and employment litigation. Rounding out the team is litigation associate Matthew P. Horvitz, who brings his background in real estate to his legal practice in support of his team’s clients.

“In meeting with Jennifer, Barbara, Paul, and Matt, we recognized immediately the many client intersections between their group’s practice and Goulston & Storrs,” said Marty Fantozzi, co-managing director at Goulston & Storrs. “Clients across a broad range of industries who work with us for real estate, corporate and other services have expressed a growing need for IP litigation services, and the addition of these four excellent trial lawyers adds tremendous bench strength to our existing Litigation and Intellectual Property groups. At Cooley Manion Jones, this group worked as a cohesive team to achieve successful outcomes for their clients, and we are pleased to welcome them as a team to Goulston & Storrs.”

“Goulston & Storrs is known in the marketplace for client service, and that element of its brand was an important factor in our decision to join the firm,” said Furey. “Our clients will benefit from our new colleagues’ diverse expertise in the real estate, employment and corporate areas, enabling us to expand the types of services we offer in an efficient and value-added manner. We also look forward to bringing our expertise in intellectual property and commercial litigation to Goulston & Storrs’ clients, which is a service those clients have told us is in growing demand in key industries such as retail, hospitality, technology and manufacturing.”
