Sonia Macias Steele Joins Goulston & Storrs as ERISA Counsel in Boston

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce that Sonia Macias Steele has joined the firm’s Corporate, Employment and Tax practices in its Boston office. Sonia joins as ERISA Counsel from a Fortune 500-ranked financial services group where she served as Assistant Vice President and Counsel.

Sonia advises public companies, private companies and individuals in a full range of employee benefit and executive compensation matters. Sonia’s knowledge of employee benefits and executive compensation issues has led her to work at leading law firms and corporations throughout the U.S. She has also defended ERISA lawsuits, including 510, 502 and estoppel claims. Sonia regularly performs due diligence review and analysis for mergers and acquisitions and conducts employee benefits training for legal and non-legal audiences. 

Sonia received a B.A. degree from Georgetown University, M.B.A. from Duke University Fuqua School of Business, and J.D. degree from Duke University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in both Massachusetts and Illinois.
