Goulston & Storrs Ray Kwasnick Receives Special Recognition from Volunteer Lawyers Project

November 4, 2019Press Releases

We are pleased to announce our very own Ray Kwasnick, has been honored with a Special Recognition Award by the Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLP). Ray is a Director within the Real Estate practice who assists clients with leasing, construction and design, financing, acquisitions and sales, real estate loan workouts, and the management of commercial, residential and hotel properties. He has been a member of the VLP Board of Directors since 2006, serving as the Vice Chair from 2013-2016 and rising to Chair in November, 2016.

Among Ray’s many contributions to the Volunteer Lawyers Project, in 1997, while serving as the Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Boston Bar Association, he, along with VLP Executive Director, Meg Connolly, Wiley Vaughn and Sandy Moskowitz, spearheaded the Lawyer for a Day program at the Boston Housing Court. The purpose of the program is to provide a vehicle for volunteer attorneys to assist VLP’s already existing efforts to help both landlords and tenants who are unrepresented before the Court. This powerful and positive experience led Ray to his interest and long involvement with the VLP.

We salute Ray and fellow VLP Board member, Carla Reeves, a Litigation Associate with Goulston & Storrs, for their important work providing equal access to justice to underserved families and individuals in the Greater Boston area.

The Volunteer Lawyers Project is driven by its mission to increase access to justice by delivering high quality pro bono civil legal services to eligible clients in the Greater Boston area. For more than 40 years, the VLP has provided a powerful voice for the people of the community, standing up for those from lower income households and those 60 years and older, helping transform lives in crises.
