Further Enhances Female Leadership in DC, Lateral Growth from Among Best and Brightest in Every Sector of Real Estate Market

Goulston & Storrs is pleased to announce that Wendelin (Wendy) White has joined the firm’s Real Estate Group as a Director in Washington DC. In her new role, Wendy will serve as Chair of the office's Real Estate Transactions Group. Wendy joins a growing list of law firm practice and industry leaders who have chosen to move their practices to Goulston & Storrs in the last several years.

Wendy previously worked with many current Goulston & Storrs attorneys as a partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP, before a group of those lawyers left that firm and joined Goulston & Storrs in March 2010. Wendy's arrival at Goulston & Storrs bolsters the prevalence of female leadership in the firm's DC office as she joins fellow Directors, Allison Prince, DC office Managing Director; Lee Carter, Co-Chair of the firm's Multifamily Industry Group; Maureen Dwyer, a former firm Executive Committee member and Past President of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), DC Chapter; and Christine Roddy, a Bisnow 2015 Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 honoree; as well as Anne Adams, a distinguished architectural historian with 40 years of industry experience.

“I am beyond excited to rejoin friends and esteemed former colleagues, with whom I already share not only many clients but also common goals and core values, to continue my practice,” Wendy said.

Wendy concentrates her real estate practice on joint ventures, development, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial properties. She has also represented clients on leases covering both single and multiple sites. Her practice includes transactions involving office, hotel, retail, multifamily and mixed use properties; and her clients include public and private real estate investment trusts, local, national and international companies with investments in the US, and nonprofits.

“Welcoming Wendy to our DC office is one of those occasions that has so many remarkable implications for the future of our firm, and our growing office in Washington,” said Barry Green, Co-Managing Director at Goulston & Storrs. “There has long been an intersection between Wendy's clients and ours, so we're very excited to be able to work even closer – and in new capacities – with these clients, and leverage these synergies to add even more value to their businesses. The addition of Wendy's leadership, experience and extraordinary reputation both in legal circles and the business community only helps us shape and define our continued growth efforts in the Washington market and beyond."

Wendy received her B.A. from Sweet Briar College, her M.F.A. from University of California at Irvine, and her J.D. from University of Miami School of Law. In addition to her legal practice, Wendy sits on the Boards of Directors of Chevy Chase Trust Company and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. She is the General Counsel of The Economic Club of Washington DC; Treasurer of the International Women’s Forum of Washington DC; and a Member and Past President of CREW, DC Chapter. Wendy also sits on the Boards of Directors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington and the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital.
