NH & RA 2026 Fall Developers Forum

Join David Abromowitz at the NH & RA 2026 Fall Developers Forum, where he will speak on the panel, “NORC or Not: What Can We Do to Preserve ‘Naturally Occurring’ Affordable Housing?” The discussion will focus on Devenscrest Village in Ayer, MA, as a model for collaboration.

David will be joined by Kathleen Evans of MassHousing and Richard Henken of Schochet Companies to discuss the innovative and complex Devenscrest Village project, which received the 2026 Adams Pro Bono Publico Award for the purchase and preservation of the property as affordable housing.

The project demonstrates how an experienced affordable housing developer, working alongside a tenants association, raised private equity and secured innovative state funding to support the long-term affordability of naturally occurring affordable housing (NOAH), without relying on LIHTC.
