Brendan Smith advises developers, owners, and investors in connection with a range of commercial real estate transactional matters, including development, land use, financings, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and more.
Brendan draws upon experiences gained as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kevin T. Smith in the Land Court Department of the Massachusetts Trial Court to guide clients toward the best possible outcome for their projects across a wide variety of asset classes, including multifamily, retail, industrial, healthcare, life-science, and build-to-rent and single-family-rental housing. He also counsels project owners in the development, leasing, construction, financing, and operation of their privatized military housing portfolios under public-private partnerships with the federal government.
As a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Brendan’s commitment to service is reflected in his pro bono practice advocating for veterans and servicemembers. He is also a co-founder and co-chair of the firm’s Military Affinity Group.
