Applying Structural Engineering to Legal Advice
Jim’s background as a structural engineer at URS Corporation in Washington D.C. is foundational to delivering pragmatic advice. This hands-on experience powers his strong, salient questions and positions him to better understand practical objectives and concerns regarding a project, ultimately leading to the best possible legal protection for clients. Jim’s work as a structural engineer included governmental projects such as the Standard Embassy Design for the US Department of State, renovation of the National Archives, and the design a large aircraft hangar and maintenance facility for the Tennessee Air National Guard.
Community Leadership
Service is a central theme in Jim's career. Outside of the office, he spent eight years as a Board member for Kid Power, Inc., which offers after-school and summer programming for underserved communities and serves nearly 1,000 students across the District, fostering youth leadership and academic achievement.
