Richard Zielinski is a nationally recognized “bet the company” trial attorney, best known for his defense of large law firms in high stakes legal malpractice cases and for general commercial litigation. Clients especially value his strategic instincts and his on-your-feet courtroom skills and presence.
Richard is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), the highest professional honor a trial lawyer can receive, and was a member of the inaugural Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame class, in recognition of his many achievements and contributions to the legal profession.
The lawyer other lawyers trust
The highest endorsement of Richard’s expertise comes from Am Law 100 and 200 firms, which consistently rely on him to handle malpractice claims, disciplinary proceedings, and sensitive intra-firm disputes.
A leading business and mass torts litigator
Major corporations also regularly retain Richard in complex business disputes, class actions, and mass torts cases. He has broad and deep trial experience in cases involving the financing and construction of major office towers, breach of contract, partnership disputes, unfair competition, lender liability, and claims under the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act (Chapter 93A), as well as product liability and mass tort litigation in the pharmaceutical, electrical products, and tobacco sectors.
A passion for teaching
Richard's commitment to the law extends well beyond the courtroom and into the classroom. He has served for decades as a faculty member in the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop, created and chaired numerous groundbreaking CLE seminars, and led a nationwide initiative through the ACTL to provide trial advocacy training to public interest lawyers.
