John’s practice centers on real estate litigation with a focus on landlord-tenant disputes, land use matters, and other complex commercial matters. Prosecuting or defending claims on behalf of a wide range of clients, he represents real estate developers, investors, healthcare institutions, educational institutions, retailers, as well as hospitality and recreational or private property owners.

Defeated opponents' attempt to block a University's proposed Campus expansion project. Prevailed at trial court and before the Massachusetts Appeals Court in Nahant Preservation Trust, Inc., et al v. Northeastern University, 104 Mass.App.Ct. 698 (2024).
The City of Boston, when a public interest organization and group of area residents sued to stop the construction of a new sports stadium. Our firm defeated plaintiffs' motion for a preliminary injunction and prevailed at trial on the merits, allowing the project to proceed.
