Peter Kochansky guides clients in developing complex, mixed-use real estate projects in Boston, providing critical advice from the conceptual stages of complex projects through to the issuance of building permits, project completion, and occupancy. He also structures public-private partnerships to fund and deliver real estate development and transportation projects.
Peter handles all aspects of zoning and regulatory diligence and compliance, including securing environmental impact reviews for large, multi-phase projects in all asset classes. Peter has extensive experience representing Boston-area educational institutions in developing both institutional and commercial projects, and he has a particularly deep knowledge of regulatory requirements for waterfront sites.
Peter has deep expertise in public transportation matters, having represented clients in acquiring and operating railroad assets. He advises public and private clients on novel projects that leverage multiple funding sources to finance public-private projects, including managing and operating public open space and effectively delivering social services.
Public and private clients rely on Peter’s advice on Public Records Law and Open Meeting Law compliance, and he also counsels clients on State Ethics Law compliance, the Massachusetts Lobbying Law, and state procurement laws.
