Clients navigating real estate development projects use Yari Sanchez’s valuable assistance from concept to completion. When developing mixed-use, office, retail, institutional or multi-family residential properties, Yari helps with permitting, zoning, acquisition, disposition, and financing. Her work often involves complex projects such as multi-phased, master-planned developments, office/labspace projects, and ground lease developments.
Yari serves a diverse group of clients including public and private companies, joint ventures, general and limited partnerships, foreign investors, private and charitable foundations, and public-private partnerships. Contributing to the success of many significant projects, Yari has worked on iconic developments such as Boston’s Seaport Square and Cambridge Crossing developments[DS1] (#_msocom_1) . Through her varied work, she is familiar with the special concerns particular to many industry sectors, such as higher education, health care, residential, and real estate development in general.
Applying a Legislative and Community Relations Lense
To provide clients with the best possible legal advice, Yari draws upon her work as a former legislative aide and community liaison for the New York City Council, including for the Office of Speaker Christine C. Quinn. In this capacity, she worked on government-side permitting for real estate developments, taking account of community concerns and business development goals for the district she served, and meeting with developers, business owners, and other community leaders.
Leading the Way Towards the Future
With a commitment to helping future leaders in the field, Yari is a teaching assistant at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design for a course entitled: “Creating Real Estate Ventures: A Legal Perspective.” Serving for many years, she helps plan the coursework, interacting with students and running realistic mock negotiations in a classroom setting.
Also committed to supporting the broader community, Yari provides volunteer legal assistance to Kids In Need of Defense (“KIND”) an organization providing high-quality legal services to children in immigration court proceedings, as well as social support services.
Yari is fluent in Spanish.

A privately-owned real estate investment firm with all aspects of a complex development project. The firm handles all of the real estate, land use, acquisition, development, master planning, environmental and financing aspects of this immense project which includes 18 parcels across 5.2 million square feet of development property, including 2 million square feet of commercial space, and 3 million square feet of residential space, lab space, office, multi-family, retail, a park and public amenities.
