Goulston & Storrs Director Carla Reeves Receives 2025 Ida B. Wells Award from The Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys

Goulston & Storrs, an Am Law 200 firm, today announced that Director Carla Reeves has received the 2025 Ida B. Wells Award from The Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys for her significant contributions to the legal profession and for exemplifying the pioneering spirit and courage of Ida B. Wells, a trailblazing journalist, civil rights activist, and anti-lynching crusader. 

Reeves is a Director in the firm’s Employment Group, where she specializes in employment counseling, litigation, and investigations. She works closely with clients across a range of industries, guiding them through compliance with a variety of complex employment laws and representing them in disputes before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies. Reeves also handles investigations of reports of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other forms of workplace misconduct. In addition, she designs and delivers customized workplace training programs and conducts cultural assessments to help organizations build more inclusive work environments.

Reeves has earned numerous accolades for her work, including being named an Employment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal, a 2025 Go-To Employment Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly, and a Top Employment Lawyer by Boston Magazine. She is also recognized by Chambers USA and Best Lawyers in America for her excellence in employment litigation.

The Massachusetts Black Women Attorneys (MBWA) is a not-for-profit professional bar association founded in 1981 by a group of Black women attorneys from all areas of practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The MBWA represents every sector of the legal community including judges, in-house counsel, law firm partners and associates, Fortune 500 and 100 company employees, solo practitioners, government attorneys, law professors, and legal experts. The MBWA membership includes government officials, humanitarians, community leaders, and trailblazers.
