The fourth program of the “Amplifying Unheard Voices” series, seeks to highlight and amplify historically underrepresented perspectives of attorneys, clients and communities that engage with the legal system regularly, and to move towards more equitable representation of and opportunities for these communities.

This discussion in the series focuses on amplifying the perspectives of transgender, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming attorneys, organizers and advocates of color. Previous programs focused on (1) the Black male perspective in the Massachusetts legal profession (available here), (2) the Black female perspective in the Massachusetts legal profession (available here), and (3) the perspectives of Black and Latinx users of Massachusetts courts (available here ).

Ryan Rasdall moderated the event, including conversations about what allies can do to meaningfully foster equity and inclusion for trans and gender non-conforming people of color, in both the legal profession and in the community at large.
